Because of this, our area is a hot spot for fishermen and anglers alike from all over the nation. Of course, let's be honest, you have to have a good boat if you want to get to the best fish. Our Lake is home to many types of fish like largemouth bass, spotted bass, black and white crappie, blue catfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, white bass, hybrid stripers, paddlefish, walleye, and bluegill. Waterfowl & Birds

While out on the water, you will see a large number of different birds and waterfowl. Fishing isn't the only thing people get on the Lake. It can also be a popular location for duck hunting, you can find mallard, wood duck, gadwall, greenwing teal, ringneck, goldeneye, Canada and snow geese. Some of these are only around seasonally, and there is a duck season that you have to adhere to when hunting. They are fun to watch or to hunt, no matter what you enjoy doing. These are just the birds that you typically hunt, you will also find herons, bald eagles, hawks, owls and more when you are out during certain times of the day or year. Next time you're out on the water, take a look and see if you can spot any of these common birds.

Other Wildlife

Whether you're hiking through the woods or watching for wildlife from the water, we have many different species of birds, reptiles, wildlife and more. You may see snapping turtles sitting on the bank or logs near the shore, we have some varieties of water snakes (but try not to find those!). You may see deer on the bank of the water in the evenings getting a cool drink of water, sometimes you'll also see turkey, otters, beaver, foxes, raccoons and more as well.
